Firstly, I take this opportunity to thank the staff and students for an incredibly successful Term One. Staff have guided our students to excel academically, musically, physically, spiritually and emotionally and have been so generous in fundraising for those less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you, parents, for your support.

COVID-19 Self Reporting Form
It is vitally important that parents and caregivers inform the school if their child tests positive for COVID-19.
To support our planning for your child’s classroom attendance, please continue to notify the school if your child returns a negative PCR/ RAT result, after:
- being identified as a close contact (Day 1 test to return to school as an asymptomatic close contact), and/or
- being identified as a household close contact (Day 7 test to conclude quarantine).
To help streamline this process a COVID-19 Self-reporting Form for Students and Staff members has been developed by Catholic Education WA (CEWA). Parents and caregivers can now inform the school of their child’s positive or negative COVID result via the button below. The information will go directly to the Principal, prompting our COVID response.

Please do not underestimate the importance of informing the school of a positive COVID case. Your actions will ensure the risk to others is minimised and that we do our very best to limit the spread of the virus across our community.

As a Catholic School and living out the Charism of Mary Ward, it is our duty and responsibility to ensure that every child has access to quality, inclusive education. Currently, staff are completing the Disability Standards for Education e-learning modules. Completing the modules will also be a compulsory component of new staff induction and be part of ongoing accreditation for existing staffing 2022.

This week began with celebrating an important Feast Day in the Catholic Church – All Saints’ Day. All Saints’ Day commemorates all the saints in heaven. The feast dates back to the early Church when communities would gather and celebrate the anniversary of the martyr’s death. During the persecution under the emperor Diocletian at the beginning of the fourth century, the number of martyrs became so great that a separate day could not be assigned to each saint. Hence, the Church established a common feast day for all the martyrs. Here at Loreto Nedlands, we continue to pray for Mary Ward’s Beatification.
