Extend a Hand Project: The Pyjama Foundation Storybook

The Extend Superstar is…

Tom… for taking the time to help others at the service. He consistently shows good manners and behaviour throughout the days that he attends Extend. Tom uses his initiative to complete tasks without being promoted such as laying out the table for afternoon tea and packing away after himself.  Well done Tom!

 What’s Been Happening?

This week we’ve been learning about the Pyjama Foundation. The Children at Loreto Extend are in the process of writing a book together which will be donated to foster children through this foundation to read and keep as their own.  This week has also continued with the excitement of playing hot potato with a balloon and trying to keep it from touching the group whilst seeing who will be the last one standing. This has been a great form of exercise and the children have been captivated with the game each day. On top of this we conducted our own treasure hunt where the children had to come up with riddles which related to and object or area around the sports field, tennis, netball and basketball courts. It was great to see all the children trying to figure out each others riddles and working in teams to do so.
