The Extend Superstar is…
Ava… as a year six student Ava is showing great attitude and spirit at Extend.

Ava is kind to those around her and always willing to play with the younger students. From teaching them how to play different games to draw with them Ava always makes time. She is passionate about her homework and always willing to explain, to those interested, what her tasks are. Her explanation from beginning to end encourages some of the younger Extend pupils to start their homework.

What’s Been Happening?
The children at Extend have finished the week off by making sushi. This was a great success! Many students who were initially hesitant about making their creation admitted to enjoying it and went back for multiple helpings. It is such a breakthrough and we hope to have sushi making as a more regular activity. One pupil in pre primary who is very passionate about the Titanic convinced some of the older pupils to help create an iceberg out of the colours he suggested for his Titanic. There were different scenarios created, the reenactment of the crash and many funny alternatives. It is always so positive to see the different year groups interacting with each other.
