Dear Parents and Friends of Loreto Nedlands
This was undoubtedly a unique way to commence a school term. However, if I were to sum up my first two days with the staff and students from Loreto, I would have to say that it was inspiring, heartwarming and genuinely memorable. I look forward to meeting and welcoming families on the school grounds.
Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Loreto. They are determined to ensure that all children, regardless of working from home or school, are provided with lots of fun and engaging learning opportunities. I thank them for their outstanding professionalism and “can do” attitude assisting beyond their regular duties.
Secondly, thank you, parents and carers, for your ongoing support and patience. Drop off, and pick-up went very smoothly. We will be reviewing the procedure tomorrow and Friday, particularly for our Kindy and Pre Primary students. Please keep an eye out for SEQTA updates regarding this.
Most importantly, a huge thank you, children, for bringing with you such beautiful, enthusiastic smiles. I have visited all the classrooms and was involved in a Q&A with Year Three. I look forward to meeting those students working from home very soon, hopefully. Thank you to our Year Six students who were busy yesterday afternoon creating hopscotch areas for students to play.
I look forward to seeing all the fabulous hats that children will be wearing for Fun Friday this week.
Health is of importance. Take care accordingly in yourself and others. Mary Ward 1628
