Visual Arts at Loreto

Mrs Miya Maeda  – BA Grap Dip

The Visual Arts Program at Loreto is an integral part of the learning curriculum, with students from Kindy to Year Six participating in a weekly art lesson taught by a specialist teacher. We offer a diverse and engaging program, designed to spark creative expression and expand visual communication skills.

Students make and respond to art through a variety of materials and processes, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, illustration, and digital design. Each Term they explore a different theme or topic by engaging in an innovative inquiry learning process, as they work towards producing a final resolved artwork.

Our Visual Arts program is structured in such a way, that over the year, every student will have the opportunity to produce a range of two-and three-dimensional artworks that they then showcase in our annual Art Exhibition.
