Why Loreto

From the Principal

Principal's Welcome

I am incredibly proud and honoured to be the Principal at Loreto Nedlands. I cherish the opportunity to assist in the development of our most precious resource – our children.

We invite you to explore our website as a first step toward understanding the wide range of learning opportunities offered to our students from the moment they join our school community.

Loreto Nedlands accepts and supports multicultural and individual differences. We strive to uphold an environment in which all children can thrive. Our utmost priority is the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care. We create and maintain a safe, supportive, caring environment and nurture them through pastoral care.

I warmly invite you to discover more of how Loreto Nedlands makes education an enjoyable and richly rewarding experience for its students.

Loreto Nedlands is proud of its reputation for academic rigour and excellence as a non-selective Catholic co-educational primary school.

Each child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential through the areas in which they excel. Our Loreto values aim to empower and motivate students to use their distinctive gifts with confidence and creativity. Just as each child is an individual with their own character and needs, their educational growth is just as unique.

Our high levels of academic achievement are largely attributed to the dedicated, skilled teachers who deliver diverse, engaging, and outstanding educational programs within an environment that is warm, respectful and responsive to the needs of our students.

However, in this rapidly changing world, academic results alone are not enough to ensure the success and happiness of young children. As a Catholic school, we nurture spiritual growth and promote a holistic learning environment. An equal focus on natural gifts and talents, wellbeing, and emotional intelligence allows the young children entrusted to us to thrive. We believe our innovative approach to wellbeing supports our girls and boys to excel academically and become well-rounded leaders of the future.

As Principal, I am acutely aware of the importance of connection with one’s peers and community, and we are blessed to have many initiatives that promote the inclusion of all. A strong sense of family permeates all we do, and a friendly and welcoming environment is what you will experience when visiting Loreto Nedlands. All are welcome, and all Loreto Nedlands students, current or alumni, are central to our story and our Loreto education philosophy.
